COVID-19 vaccines are effective against severe disease and death from variants of the virus that causes COVID-19 currently circulating in the United States, including the Delta variant.

Infections happen in only a small proportion of people who are fully vaccinated, even with the Delta variant. When these infections occur among vaccinated people, they tend to be mild.

If you are fully vaccinated and become infected with the Delta variant, you might be able to spread the virus to others.

People with weakened immune systems, including people who take immunosuppressive medications, may not be protected even if fully vaccinated.

If you haven't been vaccinated, please consider it. Call 1-800-232-0233, or go to www.vaccines.gov to find a vaccination site near you.

Fraudulent “COVID-19 Compensation Lottery Prize” scam The World Health Organization (WHO) has been made aware of correspondences being circulated by scammers (acting under the name of Capital Finance, Inc. London), falsely notifying recipients of such correspondences that they have been selected as a beneficiary/winner of a $1 million lottery compensation prize payment for losses and damages suffered as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. These fraudulent correspondences falsely allege that the so-called “COVID-19 Lottery Compensation Prize” is brought to you by WHO, in association with the International Monetary Fund (IMF)

Central PA Counties affected by Tropical Storm Debbie

There have been many homes in our conference that have been damaged by TS Debby. As of Friday, September 13, 2024, the number is around 140 homes that have qualified as needing major repair or destroyed. This amount of destitution has caused FEMA to issue a Declaration of Individual Assistance to Tioga, Potter, Lycoming, and Union County. We continue to give our support to those areas. If you are in those areas and need assistance, you should call 211. There will also be five Disaster Recovery Centers that will be scheduled to be of assistance.
