Social media is no place for COVID-19 vaccination cards

  • Posting a photo of your vaccination card on social media could be inviting identity theft. The card contains information including your full name, date of birth, where you got your vaccine, and the dates you got it. When you post it to social media, you may be handing valuable information over to someone who could steal your identity.

Focus on mask upgrades

  • The new data highlights the importance of a good fit to maximize mask performance. It also emphasizes the fit of face masks—both cloth and surgical—can significantly reduce COVID-19 transmission to both infected and uninfected people who wear them properly.
  • The CDC study added to the masking guidelines by emphasizing two ways of improving the fit of medical procedure masks: fitting a cloth mask over a medical procedure mask; and, and knotting the ear loops of a medical procedure mask and then tucking in and flattening the extra material close to the face.
