Transportation provider offers vaccination transportation

  • Rabbit Transit, a regional public transportation provider, offers a variety of transportation services to the residents of the following counties: Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Franklin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Union and York. 
  • Rabbit Transit is offering shared ride transportation service to any community member who needs transportation to and from their scheduled COVID-19 vaccination appointment.
  • Advance reservations are required and must be made no later than noon on the business day prior to their scheduled appointment. Riders must have a a confirmed COVID-19 vaccination appointment at the location for which they are requesting transportation.

Governor Wolf Signs Fourth Renewal of COVID-19 Disaster Declaration

  • The governor is using the renewal to spread the message of prioritizing a "safe, efficient and equitable [vaccine] distribution process." increasing "support to state agencies involved in the continued response to the virus and recovery for the state during reopening," and providing for the needs of Pennsylvanians.

Considerations for Communities of Faith

  • The CDC has updated its general considerations to help communities of faith discern how best to practice their beliefs while keeping their staff and congregations safe during the pandemic.

Faith-based Hostile Event Preparedness Virtual Workshop

  • The Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of Homeland Security, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Intelligence Center, Western PA All-Hazards Fusion Center, and the Delaware Valley Intelligence Center are collaborating with the Faith-Based Information Sharing and Analysis Organization to conduct a webinar on learning how to detect, prepare for, and respond to hostile incidents in and around places of worship, community centers, faith-based schools, and camp programs. 
  • This FREE workshop will be conducted during three half day periods in March, April, and June, to address and enhance awareness and preparedness related to the potential of physical attacks; talk about challenges, concerns and best practices regarding physical security; and provide awareness about the many federal, state, and local resources available to the faith-based community.

Legal Aid Disaster Resource Center

  • The Legal Aid Disaster Resource Center, a national website helping legal aid and other service organizations more effectively meet the civil legal needs of disaster survivors, has officially launched. The goal is to provide trainings on best practices and resources for pro bono and legal aid attorneys, volunteers, the communities they serve, and disaster survivors.

FTC says Utility scams are snow joke

  • Winter often brings the blues, but when it brings Arctic blasts, burst pipes, power outages, and even icicles indoors, scammers aren’t far behind with weather-related scams. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) wants you to know scammers know severe weather may have shut off your electricity, heat, and water and might pose as your utility company.
